Why we started Evolved H2O
It started with my dad's health, and a question none of us could answer: how clean is the water we're actually drinking?

It began with my dad
A few years ago my father was diagnosed with a serious autoimmune disease. For a long stretch he was having MRI scans every three months, waiting on results, living in the gap between appointments.
He decided to take control of the things he could control. Not the diagnosis, and not the treatment, but the basics that sat in his own hands every day: breathing cleaner air, eating cleaner food, drinking cleaner water.
Today he's over 60, a proud grandfather, and in the best shape of his life. I want to be careful here, because everyone's health journey is different and I'm not going to pretend a change in habits is a treatment for anything. What I can tell you is what it did to our family. Watching him take that much care over what went into his body every single day changed how the rest of us thought about ours.
That's where the question started.

WHAT WE LEARNED
Safe is not the same as optimal
Australia has some of the safest tap water in the world.
That is genuinely worth saying, and we're not interested in scaring anyone about their kitchen tap.
But safe and optimal are different standards. To protect public health, suppliers add disinfectants such as chlorine to kill harmful bacteria. And by the time that water reaches your home it has often travelled through kilometres of ageing pipes, where it can pick up sediment and other unwanted contaminants along the way.
Safe to drink. Not necessarily what you'd choose to drink.
THEN WE LOOKED AT THE FILTERS
The claims were the problem
The deeper we went into the filtration industry, the more of the same thing we found. Big percentages with no test behind them. Certification logos that turned out to belong to a component rather than the product. Filter life claims that nobody would stand behind if you asked.
We didn't want to argue with anyone. We just wanted to know which claims were actually tested, and by whom. That turned out to be a surprisingly hard question to get answered.
So we decided to build the version we'd been looking for.
WHY WE EXIST
Honest, effective, affordable
Our mission is simple: premium water filtration that tells you the truth about what it does. Every product is selected and independently tested against the standards we'd expect in our own kitchen, because that's exactly where it ends up.
We publish the testing
Independent lab results, available to read. If a figure isn't tested, we don't print it.
We say reduces, not removes
No filter removes everything. We tell you what ours reduces and by how much.
We're honest about filter life
Real replacement intervals, so you know the true running cost before you buy.
