Set up your HydroX

Every day it's just three touches. The very first time, add one step: flush the new filter.

HydroX runs on municipal tap water. On well water, pre-filter first.

Fill the tank

Fill with tap water up to (but not past) the MAX line. The tank holds 4.2 L (about 18 cups).

Power on

Long press and hold both keys to switch the system on.

Hold ◁ + ▷ · 3s

Flush the filter first use

Activate the new cartridge before drinking. Press again to stop.

Hold 💧 Dispense · 4s

Dispense

Touch once and clean, filtered water pours straight into your glass.

Tap 💧 Dispense · once

⚠️ First-time & after every filter change: discard the first 3 full tanks of filtered water and don't drink them. This clears carbon fines from the fresh cartridge.

Reading the display

What the lights mean

Touch any key to wake the unit first. The power indicator shows battery level; the filter light shows filter health.

Filter blue

Filter is healthy, good to use.

Filter red

Filter expired. Replace it soon, then hold a key 3s to reset.

White flashing

Charging over USB-C. Solid white shows battery level.

Ready

Powered on and ready to dispense.

Battery level reads in steps: 0 · 25 · 50 · 75 · 100%. A full charge lasts up to about 20 days of normal use.

Filter replacement

When the light turns red, swap the filter

Filter light red = replace promptly

Remove the filter cover.
Unscrew the old cartridge anticlockwise; screw the new one in clockwise. (A little water from the pump is normal.)
Reset the filter life: hold a key 3s until the light turns from red to blue.
Flush the new cartridge: hold Dispense 4s, then discard the first 3 tanks.

Totally normal

If you notice any of these, you're fine

A few things surprise new owners. None of them mean anything's wrong.

Cloudy or milky water

Tiny bubbles from the pump's pressure make water look cloudy for a moment. It clears on its own and is completely safe to drink.

TDS meter didn't drop

By design. HydroX removes harmful substances while keeping beneficial trace minerals, so a TDS reading won't fall much. That's the minerals staying in.

Brief pause or noise on first flush

That's air being purged from a fresh filter. It only happens at setup. If flow pauses, tap Dispense again to resume.

Shorter battery life

Cold conditions, or keeping it in the fridge, can cut battery life by around half. More frequent dispensing also uses more charge.

💧 No water or weak flow? Check it's charged, check there's water in the tank, and check the filter light isn't red. Any one of those is usually the cause.
